As black women, our birth stories often get lost while we mother others. This is a space to mother ourselves and to reclaim our stories. It doesn’t matter if you have a new born or a college graduate, if you feel as if you haven’t had the ability to sit in and honor your birth story, this event is for you. Mothers attending this event will have the ability to participate in meeting other black mothers on their individual journeys of mothering themselves. Participants will also participate in a sound bath meditation to ground themselves. Attendees will have the ability to share the events of their individual birth through storytelling, poetry, or art. And we will end our afternoon with a catered lunch to celebrate and to bask in our glory.
