Quarterly Black Birth Workers Meet-Up This was created in order to give us the opportunity of putting faces to names, network with one another, create a wide range of a referral list, and also provide a safe space for us to talk about the work that we do and all that comes with that in this country. Our mission is to uplift the clients that we work with and this space is to also uplift each other. Our Black Birth Workers Meet-Up has become part support group part collaboration space and part connection making. If you are a black birth worker, join us!

What started off as virtual eventually became in-person. Quarterly, we met in a group room in Atlanta and I would send out the invite to anyone that I knew in the black birthing space hoping that they would pass the info on to others that were free to attend. Each time we meet I never know who will show up, but I'm always pleasantly surprised to see old faces that consistently attend and new faces. This has become somewhere where we each have an opportunity to share

1. What profession is everyone (we have pediatricians, doulas, midwives, pelvic floor specialists, therapists, researchers, etc).

2. Who's taking new clients and how do we send them to you?

3. What event or project that you're currently working on so that we can support you?

4. How are you taking care of yourself as you do this work and what can we do for you?

Beverages and refreshments will be served. Bring your business cards and any promotional materials you would like to share.
